Misplaced Inventory

For the second time in 10 days, I have had a lot of my inventory misplaced. The first time approx 50% was misplaced. At the time I had approx 10 items reserved for customer orders that I assumed were cancelled due to the inventory being misplaced. Approx 5 days later it was all found. Now approx 75% of my inventory is misplaced and again, I had items reserved for customer orders that I can only assume have been cancelled.

If I end up having long term storage fees because of all this messing about with my stock and cancelling orders can I appeal it?

Also, how long do I have to wait for it to be found before I can claim for it?

Look in:reports>fba>inventory>inventory adjustments
Any misplaced inventory will be shown in this report,wait 30 days from the date shown they were misplaced & raise a case with CS for reimbursement.
I have just been reimbursed for 19 units lost on the 28th Jan.

Get used to it, its getting worse. 7 out of my last 10 shipments have been messed up

To add to the correct information provided by Russ, if your invnetory has been misplaced in the fulfilmnet centre, and is not found within 30 days, please contact the Seller Support team to investigate and reimburse if necessary. More information on this can be found in the FBA Lost and Damaged Inventory Reimbursement Policy . Please review the section “Before reporting your items lost”.

I know it was misplaced because I ran the report. Alex that doesn’t really answer my question about long term storage fees if I end up occurring them because my inventory has been lost twice and orders have been cancelled.

And something else occurred to me. What happens if I get reimbursed and then it is subsequently found?

I think this will happen less and less when they force everyone to start supplying box contents but that is one way you can reduce your issues with missing inventory. Usually you can investigate missing stock after about 10 days once an issue is identified. Keep an eye on the shipment, it will give you a date when you can submit items for investigation.

Stadium_Music1 This isn’t a receiving problem. This is stock that was receiving into inventory, misplaced which caused orders to be cancelled, found again and put into inventory again then about a week later misplaced again causing cancelled orders for a second time.
