Payments Being held?

Has anyone else had issues with Amazon holding payments. It’s now been a month and no payments.

We had nothing but excuses off amazon “Account isn’t verified now it is verified because you haven’t put tracking put tracking, then say account isn’t verified, account verified oh now its because your account has Cancellation Rate of 11.69% (Due to stock issues)

We have had to turn all listings off as we cant afford to keep sending loads of stock out to no payment.

I know that as per your support pages “This reserve is held in your account until 7 days after the maximum estimated delivery date of the order”

But the maximum order date is not a month! Yet, no payments for a month.

Email, phone and chat support have been useless!

Any ideas of who I can complain to/get my money?

Amazon can extend the amount held in reserve if there are account issues, so it isn’t always the “7 day rule”. Have you though checked to make sure both your bank info and charge method are verified? Even if they haven’t changed Amazon can sometimes require them to be verified.

Lately it is a new thing for Amazon to do.
They just stop passing the money without any explanation.

We are having £26 435 frozen without reason for almost 3 months now, we have never received any explanation or timeline, not a performance notification for that or email at all.
We have exhausted all non legal options and as of last week we have already sent Amazon a letter before action with intent of taking Amazon UK to court if needs be.

EDIT:
Just as a note, after 2 weeks of growing hold, we have pressed on seller support for explanation, and while they did not provide / could not provide one, something has changed and the hold stopped growing, and everything over that £26 435 accumulated we are able to disburse just like usual, simply that very specific amount is on hold forever.

Just so you know, you are not alone
