Twice as much FBA Returns
Hi everyone,
For last couple of months we have seen a spike in the amount of FBA Returns. Checking the returns report, I can see that since Jan 2023 till Aug 2023, the returns were at consistent levels. But towards the end of sept 2023, we saw an uplift in the amount of refunds and this months refunds are twice as much as any other month of year.
I have not fully investigated each and every refund, just a quick check in return inventory and reimbursement is not giving any visibility to recent returns. NCX are also at the typical level and return percentage is not concerning but since we have been selling for good few years, finding difficult to get my head around this sudden spike in the last 5-6 weeks.
I was just wondering if anyone else noticed similar return spike that they are finding unusual? Same product selling on other selling channels are not producing any refunds.
Thanks

Assuming that your sales haven't scaled up such that your return rate has remained the same, are the products you sell something that people would buy for halloween?
Our rate of returns always goes up in the lead up to events people are buying our t-shirts to wear for, as people who don't buy online regularly are more likely to buy for that event, and they might not know what size to order. Could something similar be the reason for you?

We had the same issue. Im not 100 % sure why either but have been getting reports from Amazon customers that Amazon FBA has been making picking errors and send them the wrong products. Its very frustrating.
