Hi, we’re a US seller with VAT IDs in DE, FR, ES, and the UK. When using OSS, does Amazon keep that 'OSS inventory' separate, or is it just pulled from our general FBA stock stored in those local warehouses? I'm trying to understand the physical storage workflow for OSS-covered sales

When you use Pan-EU FBA or store inventory across EU countries (DE, FR, ES, IT, etc.), your units are physically stored in local fulfillment centers in those countries. Amazon then fulfills customer orders from the nearest available stock, based on logistics efficiency — not based on VAT treatment.
So, for example:
If you have inventory stored in Germany and a customer in Italy places an order, Amazon may ship that unit from a German fulfillment center to Italy.
