Section 3 verification

I received the below email from Amazon:

Your Amazon selling account will be deactivated on 24/04/2026 in accordance with Section 3 of the "Amazon Business Solutions Agreement". Funds will not be transferred to you but will stay in your account while we work with you to address this issue. Continue to ship any open orders to avoid further impact to your account.

Why is this happening?

We believe or our controls identify that your account has been used for deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity in accordance with Section 3 of the "Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement". In order to protect our customers, we verify the identity of our sellers through a virtual identity verification process on a video interview.

How will you know the results of my virtual identity verification?

After your verification interview is complete, we will review the information provided by you and respond with the outcome within 5 business days.

It's now been more than 7 Business days since I attended the verification call but still not received any update from them and my funds are on hold.

I had exactly the same email. I also completed the verification and it has now been 9 business days with no response from them even though I have chased it up a few times via the email address. I am still active and my account is in good standing. I can list and also receive orders but the funds are being held and there does not seem to be a way to resolve this.

5 days for Amazon to do something. Now thats where your problem lies of promisiong and under delivering by Amazon rule of thumb if there is anything that needs looking at your looking at a month at least for Amazon to respond. If there is the slightest anomolly in your information it will be more.

Section 3 is normally for "inauthentic" items which Amazon considers fraud but is usually that you have listed something under someone elses asin where they are using an incorrect manufacturer or trade name. Have you had any listings pulled recently.

Alternativly is your business registered at a mailing address as opposed to your actual address (either because you are based outside of the UK, and been told this is the way to avoid tax, or thats how your company was set up. In either case you need to have your company address on file to be your actual company address

Hi @RoseBeauty_Store,

Thank you for reaching out and for completing the verification process. I understand how frustrating it must be to wait beyond the stated timeframe, especially with funds on hold.

Since this involves a Section 3 review under the Amazon Business Solutions Agreement, the best course of action here would be to contact Account Health Support (AHS) directly. AHS specialists are equipped to look into identity verification cases, check the status of your review, and provide guidance on next steps.

You can reach AHS through your Account Health page in Seller Central. If you see an "at risk" banner on your Account Health dashboard, you'll be connected to a specialist who can assist with your specific case.

In the meantime, continue to ship any open orders as mentioned in the original notification, as this helps avoid further impact to your account.

I'd also recommend keeping an eye on your Performance Notifications in Seller Central for any updates from the reviewing team.

Best regards,

Yujiro
