Potential fraudulent review

Hello all,

I have had a 1 star product review with no comments or explanation, which is very different to the rest of my feedback which is 4/5 stars. I have flagged it to amazon and have been passed between many different associates with no resolution or way forward.

In the latest conversation I was told that I would need to report the review if i wanted it to be investigated but there is no option for me to do this. When I asked the associate why I was unable to report it he gave me false reasons such as how the review could have come from a different marketplace, however, this could not be true as I only sell on one market place.

He then said that the review may have already been removed. However, later in the conversation I asked him what he could see when looking at the ASIN and he confirmed he could see the review - meaning that his prior explanation of how it could have been removed was also incorrect.

If it is possible for buyers to give anonymous 1 star reviews with no comments then this feels very biased against the seller. As a new seller it is extremely harmful to me and could be a competitor, in which case, according to the feedback I have been given from Amazon would not be noticed or investigated.

Has anyone else had a similar problem, and how did you manage to overcome it (if at all)?

Thanks

Buyers have been able to leave 1 star ratings for ages. They get asked via Alexa devices more often than not - its not possible to leave qualitative feedback via these devices though - so you just end up with a star rating.

It won't necessarily be fraudulent, as generally speaking I think an order needs to be placed to leave a Rating.

You can't overcome it - its just how amazon works.

Hello @Seller_dd3Qr9oRs1TBG,

Can you provide me with a case ID or order ID? I will gladly look into it.

Regards, Spencer
