I was issued a GB eori number within minutes of applying on 28th December, even thou I live in Northern Ireland. Then I applied for the XI eori number following the gov links and am now waiting for it to progress.

Can any of you Guys and Dolls tell me what to do with them on Amazon?

Does anyone know of a way to have these numbers automatically included on the customs label in C&D without having to do it manually with each order?

I put an enquiry into HMRC regarding my GB EORI for trade with NI a while back (2 months or so ago) and their reply was that it would be valid, reading this thread I am a little confused

If you move goods to or from Northern Ireland

From 1 January 2021 you’ll need an EORI number that starts with XI to:

  • move goods between Northern Ireland and non-EU countries
  • make a declaration in Northern Ireland
  • get a customs decision in Northern Ireland

If you already have an EORI number from an EU country, you do not need an EORI number starting with XI. You may still need an EORI number starting with GB to use some UK customs systems.

To get an EORI number that starts with XI, you must already have an EORI number that starts with GB.
