What is an Unfulfillable Inventory Notification?
I had an email stating that one of my books had been sold. Then I was told they were refunding it because ‘Missed Fulfilment Promise’ …not sure what that meant. THEN I get another email saying ‘your Fulfilment by Amazon inventory listed below became unsellable within the past 7 days because it is no longer in sellable condition.’…It was in a sellable condition when I sent it to FBA, what has happened to it in the mean time? Please can someone advise because I’m extremely confused by the vague messages and I am having no luck in trying to contact amazon directly. Thanks

It usually means that it has been damaged at the fulfillment centre. If you look for your unsalable items in the inventory page, it should be there. Because my items are low value, I used to instruct them to destroy the item which basically means that Amazon will sell it in a not new condition at a cheaper price and the seller will be reimbursed. I now request that the item is returned to me so that I can sell it myself elsewhere. More often than not in my case, it will be a cracked CD case because of the way they are handled.

It means it was not delivered to the customer in the time frame required. If it’s FBA, Amazon should reimburse you (eventually).
