Please Close My Account with $0.2 Balance
I am a seller struggling to get my account closed due to a $0.2 balance owed to me that remains. I voluntarily downgraded from a Pro account to an Individual account to stop incurring fees. The account is not suspended, in bad standing, or with active orders. It has been well past the 90 days. It is a North American account.
For the last several months I have repeatedly requested my account be closed out completely since I do not intend to sell again. However, it remains open (I am assuming) due to this unusually small balance. Support has not returned my inquiries. I have received no emails or calls from them regarding my issue.
Please advise if you need any other info to close my account. I forfeit the $0.2. Just please close my account. Thank you for your time and assistance!
My apologies, for using this forum to handle support issues.

It may stay open until there are no possible claims that can be made against your account.
The Amazon Extended Give Away Seller Money period is ending in a few days so that might take care of it.
Is your bank account information current? Did you do FBA and still have inventory at a warehouse?

If there is nothing else going on, just put your account as "Individual", make sure you have no listings, and walk away.
Whether it is closed, or simply dormant, it won't make any significant difference.

You may also want to put your account on "vacation" and close your bank account or report it lost stolen to get a new account number and also report your card lost/stolen to get new card numbers in case someone somehow hacks your account and amazon tries to send you a bill for something you didn't do. Doing this would lead to your account being disabled and if you ever wish to return to amazon would mean lots of headaches.
Another option is to simply delete your inventory so you have NO LISTINGS on the "individual" (non-pro free) plan, so that you aren't charged but still technically have an account until amazon decides to close your account due to zero activity. This option means your account would either remain open and available if you ever wish to sell on amazon again or it would close under good conditions and probably able to re-open again. (not really sure what would happen if amazon closes your account in good standing, you can't get back into it for whatever reason, and so you open up another account, because they might pull the associated/linked account BS.)
in any case, I would open up a savings account and new cheap credit card somewhere and transfer amazon account connections to these account connections first in case amazon geniuses royaly try to Scr_w the Pooch on you, to distance your money from amazon "mistakes" (greed glitches) while still having access to monitor things.

Hi @Seller_Qx9MwZXWzyjLJ,
Steve from Amazon here, thank you for reaching out. Can you please provide me with the latest case IDs you have created to Seller Support for this issue?
I would like to review this situation and see if I can help here.
Thanks,
Steve

I believe they won't send a disbursement that is so small. I had less than a dollar sitting in the .CA account (because of a glitch since I never listed anything in Canada, this was years ago before the FBA export stuff.) I was never able to get rid of that showing on the account until I actually did list and sell something in Canada so that they would have enough to send me the money. Then I was able to delete all the listings there and set that account Dormant again.
So You may be best off to make sure all listings are deleted and then put the account on vacation unless Steve is able to get your case sorted out.

Hi @Seller_Qx9MwZXWzyjLJ,
A disbursement for the remaining balance has been started and should be complete today. Once that is complete, the team will move forward with closing your account.
Please let me know if there are any questions.
Thanks,
Steve
