Sudden price drop on products

I haven't been able to sell properly for 2 months and sales have come to a halt. Other sellers are giving 50% discount on the products in my stock. I don't understand how people sell at a loss. Does anyone have any suggestions to increase sales? And Amazon destroys customer returns even for a simple reason. Is there a way to prevent this?
