Anybody selling on Fruugo or other niche marketplaces?

After concluding that my European eggs need more baskets, I’ve just set up localized translated ebay for france and germany (with a few sales already!), and also Cdiscount (with it’s first sale this morning! ), I’m looking at Fruugo next.

I’ve never heard of it before, but by the numbers it’s supposedly the same size as Etsy. Anybody here with experience of Fruugo? Is it worth the hassle of set up? I’ve got a little marketplace list here that I’m going through, so any advice on these would be super helpful. My list is: Cdiscount, Fruugo, price minster, fnac, flubit, and allegro. I’m hoping that all of these combined might be able to match Amazon Europe sales. Anybody with experience of these, and which ones might be viable?

I’m just setting up on Flubit too.

Have you tried OnBuy?

Also, did you need to register for VAT in France to use CDiscount? Or will you be shipping the stock from the UK rather than holding any stock in France?

We get loads of orders from Fruugo! Definitely worth setting up in my opinion. Never heard of OnBuy? Is it worth looking into?

Do you have a UK ebay account as well? We offer GSP so didnt know if it was worth setting up in other ebay countries too or not?

I’ve had 3 sales on Onbuy in the last 10 days. Admittedly, 2 of the sales were for products that have been discontinued and cannot be found elsewhere. Each sale was for over £50 though.
I like the look of Onbuy. It has potential but they need to sort out their internal search engine and add more categories. It’s all rather basic at the moment. The site looks nice and they have recently struck up an agreement with Paypal. Paypal only release your money once you have confirmed shipping on Onbuy.

Thanks for the list - I shall be looking in to some of those too. I like the guaranteed sales offer at OnBuy

I sell mobile phone cases. Is it worth setting up on some of these smaller niche platforms for this type of product?

Thanks

Not sure if you have heard for Ocado. They are more grocery online market place. If any is selling in Grocery category on Amazon maybe it would be worth it to sell there. I’m personally not selling, as I found out recently.

If anoyne is selling there can he/she gave us any experience?
