Zebra GK420d Thermal Printer issues with labels for shipping to Amazon

Hi

Has anyone got any idea how to get the settings right on a GK420d please?

The labels for shipping to FC are granular.

I’ve checked the drivers and the settings and can see nothing wrong.

The label appears perfect in Adobe reader. Box label prints fine but shipping label doesn’t.

Anyone with a solution please?

It has worked previously on a previous Windows 10 setup which prompted me to check drivers and settings.

Just the shipping label will not print off clean for the life of me.

if I did a label on UPS system, it would be 100% fine.

Had this issue a little bit ago - the machine thinks the labels are longer than they are I think. You basically need to reset to back to defaults and get it to recalibrate. Make sure your label dimensions in the settings are correct as well.

Step 1: Power Reset

Switch the printer off using the switch at the back near the power socket. Give it two seconds, then switch it back on.

Step 2: Reset to Factory Defaults

Hold down the forward feed button on the front panel. The indicator light will start a flash sequence: 1, 1-2, 1-2-3, and so on. When it flashes four times , release it. This resets the printer to factory defaults. Wait for the light to go solid green to indicate that the reset is complete.

Step 3: Auto Set All Other Calibrations

Hold down the button until it flashes twice , then release it. This will run an automatic set of calibrations.

One of the guys on here advised me to use the Seagull Drivers instead of the Zebra ones.

There was a specific setting which resolved it

If you are running windows 10 the updates seem to have done something to Zebra Printers .
I have uninstalled my Zebra printer & software today as I had issues with printing my postage labels on Amazon & CD .
All seems ok now fingers crossed

My Amazon labels were sent to File to print ,not so bad, my C&C labels were total messed up see picture .
PS it’s not always Amazons fault ,I am using Royal Mail click drop hopefully resolved now .

C&D new beta program.

Glad I could help but it was one of the others that told me the solution. I had lived with it for ages as RM labels scanned but looked a bit raggy… but Evri ones were unreadable.

I know what its like though - the relief of finding a solution thats consumed time and frustration

Its our cat as a kitten - and she is called Pickle but now grown to have long hair

Have a good day

@Sarah20 thanks worth a go and useful comparison. Although it has worked perfectly well for years until the last few weeks.

Hi all,

All of a sudden. My GK420d is printing twice the amount of labels out. 1 postage label, 1 black, 1 postage label, 1 blank and so on.

Has anyone else ever experience this and can you recall the resolution?

TIA
