Brand Registry with trademark pending
Hi,
I just wanted to ask whether anyone has any experience with singing up for brand registry while your trademark is pending (I am registering the mark in the US). I spoke to SS and they said that I would be able to sign up while it’s pending, but I know that sometimes they just don’t know what they are talking about, so I wanted to make sure before making a decision.
Also, if anyone does have any experience with a process like this, were there any setbacks or additional difficulties?
The reason why I’m asking is because the registration can take up to 6 months in my experience and I’m not sure if there is a better way to go about this.

That will not protect your trademark in the UK or EU. You will have to register it with the UK IPO and/or EUIPO

My trademarks are registered in the UK and pending.
I can still trade under the trademarks and Brand Registry was accepted without a problem.
I can’t make any brand infringement claims on Amazon until the trademarks are completed though, but listing things has been fine.

Pending does not guarantee a trade mark will be accepted

UK takes around 3 months
EU takes 5 months
USA takes 6-8 months
Canada takes over 2 years!
