Anyone feeling Christmassy yet?
I know it’s early doors but is anyone seeing an upturn in their sales for xmas yet? I sell jewellery and it’s usually picking up a bit by now but I am down 66% on the rest of the year and 16% on last year. Good or bad I would love to hear from you.

Most of the stuff I sell is bought by men but I am starting to see a few more orders from women (most likely as gifts for men). This always happens at this time of year.
Perhaps a marginal increase in sales recently but nothing to shout about.

For the past couple of years November has been quieter than one would expect…and then everything goes mental on Black Friday.

It tends to go quiet for us last month and Nov until Black Friday when it goes nuts and then everyone is shopped out already and it goes quiet -> steady until the New Year.

For me, the Christmas sales normally start after Black Friday.

I think that people now put off their Christmas shopping until black Friday - We’ve noticed that sales actually go down slightly prior to black Friday and then go nuts afterwards.
Think of this time as the quiet before the storm.

Does anyone have any experience in terms of Black Friday sales but where they don’t have discounts or lighting deals? I.e Is everyone just going to be buying lighting deals and items that are “discounted” cough cough… or has anyone seen a huge increase in normal stock at regular prices… Decided against taking part as the discount + amazons deal fee ate into margin too much… plus was worried about returns spiking.

Before Black Friday and Cyber Monday even existed (and when there was very few competitors) - I was busy from early October all the way through. But now the buyers wait hoping for Black Friday deals… Plus there are more Seller’s sharing the same SOAP (Slice Of Amazon Pie)
I never reduce prices during Black Friday and Cyber Monday - more like put them up to take advantage of the demand !!

We normally go pretty dead between the 1st and 31st of December gives us time to tidy the place and do a bit of stock taking
