Brand Name Changed and Potential Hijacking Issue – How to Recover and Protect My Amazon Store

Hello fellow sellers ,

I’m reaching out for advice on a troubling situation we’re currently facing with our Amazon listing. We’ve been selling under our brand name "Smart Classic" for a while now, and our Brand name were approved by Amazon . However, recently we’ve run into a series of issues that I’m struggling to resolve, and I’m hoping to get some input from those of you who may have faced similar challenges.

1. Brand Name Change without Notice

Initially, everything was fine. We had a listing for our products under the "Smart Classic" brand. But at some point, one of our child SKUs detached from its parent listing. I attempted to upload the correct files multiple times to fix this, but the SKU still appeared as an independent one on the Amazon page. After opening a case with Amazon support, the SKU got suppressed (removed from the listings). This made no sense, as it was still supposed to be listed under the parent brand. Eventually, I noticed that the brand name was changed to "Lupsty"

2. Storefront Redirection

What raised even more concern is that when I clicked on the "Visit Lupsty Store" link, it redirected to our own storefront—"Smart Q Classic." It looked like someone might be hijacking our listings, especially since it seems like they are starting to take over all of our SKUs.

3. Seller Support Response

I reached out to Amazon Seller Support to clarify how this happened. However, their response was that they don’t allow brand name changes on existing ASINs, which I understand. But I couldn’t explain how or why our brand name was changed from "Smart Classic" to "Lupsty" last Monday. I tried explaining the situation to Amazon Seller Support (SS), but my language skills aren’t strong enough to fully explain the issue. Their response was that brand names cannot be changed on existing ASINs, but they couldn’t clarify how our brand name changed.

I’ve been a bit stuck, and any insight or personal experiences from sellers who’ve dealt with similar problems would be incredibly helpful.

Kind regards, Smart Fashion
