No reviews for 10 days

I’d typically get 5-6 reviews in a week. But have not received any since last 10 days. There is no notification from Amazon if my account or listing is blocked for reviews. Does anyone know if Amazon will block a listing from receiving reviews silently and if so how to recover it?

Receiving up to 5-6 Product Reviews per week definitely sounds suspicious. Amazon wouldn’t notify you about any block of this kind being placed on your listing.

Whenever Amazon detects an unusual reviewing behavior such as a suspiciously high reviewing rate, which is significantly higher than on similar listings in the same category, it blocks the ability of buyers to leave product reviews.

Once this happens, there is nothing you can do other than evaluate the ways, which you used to obtain the reviews and reconsider them to prevent this from happening again.

All my reviews are genuine from verified purchases left by actual customers without any giveaways or discounts. This is quite frustrating that Amazon targets sellers that abide by the rules. I send 1 email for review which is also as per ToS and I don’t ask them to leave a good rating or offer any discount what so ever. And my product is much better than the competitors which most of them are Amazon themselves so Amazon clearly has a conflict of interest here.

Is there anyway I can challenge this? the competing products have got so many reviews in this time…

@Kika How do you mean by “unsolicited” communication? Is sending 1 email for review against ToS? BTW many customers opt out of this communication and won’t even get this email.

Then why does Amazon allow this from seller central?

Anyhow, we both are speculating and not 100% sure. How do I get to the bottom of this and get this resolved? I opened a support case and the support response said there is nothing wrong either with my account or listing. So any hep here highly appreciated!

Hi @Abel_Amazon

I wish I had received a communication from Amazon to suggest what was the issue but unfortunately I haven’t. I am just suspecting something’s wrong with reviews been blocked by Amazon as this is my best selling product and customers are very happy with it so very unusual for not receiving any reviews for 11 days straight.

I opened seller support case and they advised nothing wrong with listing or account but I don’t believe this is true hence trying to get some help here on forums :frowning:

I even doubt if this was forwarded to an SME as both time I got exactly same response so must be an automated response or copy.paste by a Level 1 customer support.
