Sale of Monk Fruite Product on Amazon UK
Hi,
This is a question for a friend's account who is struggling listing a few of their products on Amazon UK. Please read the situation below. As always any guidance is much appreciated.
"We've had a monk fruit decoction product suppressed on Amazon.co.uk under the EU Novel Food catalogue. We accept that monk fruit decoctions are treated as a novel food under EU rules, but this product is sold exclusively in the UK marketplace, not into the EU, so the EU law shouldn't be the applicable standard here.
We've disputed this 8 times with Amazon since early July, each time rejected. We've submitted the UK FSA's Article 4(2) determination (UK RP 1311), which confirms this category is not a novel food under UK law, along with a product specification and Guarantee of Compliance. However Amazon compliance team keeps on rejecting the appeal without providing further guidance on what is required by Amazon to sell this product on Amazon UK.
Has anyone else run into this, or successfully gotten Amazon to engage with an FSA determination for a UK-only listing? Looking for advice on what specific documentation or escalation path actually gets Amazon CS to look past the standard EU catalogue response. There are many listings of products similar to ours on Amazon UK so trying to figure out what documentation is deemed acceptable by Amazon on sale of such products in the UK"
Thanks

Hello @Seller_tOb7uSYIcWl69,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand that your trying to help your friend. However, in order to investigate this, your friend would need to post themselves here in the forums and provide their Product Compliance case ID, as we can't provide information for another sellers account with you for confidentiality reasons.
Please advise your friend to create their own post and we would be happy to take a look and try escalate this for them.
All the best,
