Vine and books. Error Ineligible brand relationship - 406
Hello, could anyone please advise on our problem with the Amazon Vine program?
Our Ltd is the seller of the books we publish. We have registered as the corporate author and linked our books to us at the author.amazon.co.uk portal. We have also registered our trademark and brand through https://brandregistry.amazon.co.uk/, but we cannot link our books to our brand as Amazon doesn’t allow us to set a Brand property for the books.
(Amazon support references this page https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/help/G2N3GKE5SGSHWYRZ?referral=AFX2C8DLE8B58_A3Q1ZRW1EKC9FN].
"Exceptions to Amazon’s Brand Name Policy
- Do all ASINs require a brand value?
No. Products that are part of the books, music, video, DVD, or digital (BMVD) categories do not need a brand value, non-branded or otherwise. Their brand attributes can be left blank on ASIN creation."
We cannot join the Vine program with any of our books, the error is 406: We were not able to match this product with a brand you represent.
Could anyone please advise if it’s possible to join the Vine program with the books and what is needed to be done?
We opened several Support cases, but they were unable to help.
P.S. We set up our book details through the Nielsen database.
Example ASIN is 5604571431

Book listings would not typically be branded and would have the author’s name rather than a company name as your listing does.
Amazon’s guidance doesn’t seem to say you cannot have a brand applied in BMVD (after a quick look), but i would’ve thought if it were possible most of the big publishers would’ve done it by now.

I wonder if anyone was ever able to join Vine with the books?
Maybe it’s just impossible for BMVD and I shouldn’t waist time trying to figure our what’s wrong with my listings…
