Being charged for something I never opted for

I registered for an Amazon selling account as an individual seller which is free of charge unless you start selling items and I’ve been charged for a business account even though I’ve not opted in for this. I been charged on a deactivated account as I’ve never been accepted and on top of this, whenever I’m seeking help on Amazon Seller Centre, all I get are generic emails written by AI. What is this, a scam? Can I please get a refund. Thanks

No - you just missed the terms and conditions on signup, but it is clearly not clear enough as so many new sellers seem to do it.

You signed up to the Professional Selling Plan at £30 a month instead of the Individual Selling Plan which as you say, charges per sale.

You need to Downgrade your account and then open a case with seller support to request a refund of any professional selling plan fees, though this is at amazons discretion.

Note there are also differences between Individual Account and Business Account. Do note that an Individual Account is ONLY for selling your own second hand goods.

I am Spencer with Amazon.

I have contacted our support team to sort out the issue with your account.

They should be in touch with you directly.

If not, please let me know.
