Product Safety Issue

Hi Sellers, looking for insights from others that may have experienced this before.

I added my stock of a food product on an existing listing yesterday. It is a well known brand. I have not made any sales.

This afternoon, I noticed that there is a product safety violation on my account for the ASIN and the listing page has been removed. On my performance, there is an option to appeal the removal but I am not interested in appealing. I ​do not know what other sellers on the removed listing may/may not have done that resulted in the removal. The listing looked okay to me before I added my stock.

I noticed that there are other listings of the same product (with Amazon on one of them). Some of those listings sell the product in multiples. These listings were not removed from Amazon catalog.

If I do not appeal, will the violation be removed from my account after a certain period of time? or do I have to appeal to get it removed?

Your thoughts are appreciated.
