Product Code
Help. I am a new seller trying to list a branded item on Amazon (Express clothing brand). This particular item is not currently sold on Amazon, meaning I have to create a brand new listing. I am approved to sell in both category and the brand. When it is time to enter product code I simply looked at the product package and bar code that was shipped to me. I see several codes. I am not sure which one to use. I see a 12 digit code and assumed that it is a UPC since UPCs are 12 digits. However I am getting error message with that code. There is also an 8 digit code and another 9 digit code which I ignored because I don't know of any product codes that are 8 or 9 digits. When I enter the 12 digit code as UPC I am getting the error message "Value does not satisfy ISBN/UCCID checksum requirements for attribute 'externally_assigned_product_identifier'.
Below is what came with the product. Please tell me which number I should use here? I used 12 digit number and assumed it was a UPC code? Was this wrong?

The error says, "Value does not satisfy ISBN/UCCID checksum requirements for attribute 'externally_assigned_product_identifier'."

Hello @Seller_V2cSECsP1mZKa,
Michelle at Amazon here. I understand that you are having issues listing your products. I would work with the brand to find out the correct UPC to use so you do not create them incorrectly. Please note that the UPC's must be registered with GS1, if they are not, our system will reject them. To learn more about GS1 requirements, please see this help page.
I hope this information is helpful!
