My 7-day Pre-fulfilment cancellation rate will exceed 2.5% for a few days. Should I be worried?

As in the title, I expect my PFC rate to go to 4.3% (3 cancellations) for a few days then roughly 3% (2 cancellations) for the 7-day term before being within target by this time next week

This is very much a one-off and 30-day metrics will remain well within the 2.5% target.

I have already emailed seller performance explaining this (2 items were deemed not up to standard at time of shipping)

I’m hoping this won’t result in my account being suspended.
I’m quite concerned. I sell a 300+ items a month and this hasn’t been an issue before.

Do I need to concern myself with instant suspension for such numbers?

Don’t e-mail the seller performance. Exceeding the pre-fulfillment cancellation rate target in the 7 days evaluation will definitely not result in a suspension.

But if you keep e-mailing them for no reason, they will review your account to find something to suspend you for.

From our experience anything lower than 5% is safe.
5%+ you get the risk to be suspended.

Going forward do not cancel an order.

what i would do is confirm shipment then immediately refund the order. email the customer and apologise informing them of stock issue, or whatever reason was for cancellation.

this way your cancellation metric wont be affected.

either way negative feedback can still be left on both occasions however with an apology email most customers dont bother
