Account Level Reserve- HELP!
Hello Sellers,
I have been selling on Amazon for some years!
As it’s gotten to the festive period I have noticed my account level reserve has increased substantially.
It’s about 35% of my takings. I have queried this with Amazon however they have advised its due to the new EDD policy.
I was just wondering if this is normal for the account level reserve to be this high, as it makes cash flow quite difficult when funds are being witheld for ‘X’ amount of time.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Carl!

the usual policy is funds released either 7 days after last EDD or 7 days after tracking through amazon shows its actually been delivered - which ever is first
If your sales have increased 35% over the festive period then the account reserve makes sense

100% of your takings will always go through the Amazon reserve. Each sale is treated separately and the proceeds are added to the reserve, stay there for a while then drop off, as described by @The_Little_Shop. If you get a sudden increase in sales, then obviously your reserve will go up to match, so you need to allow for that in your cash flow arrangements, eg by keeping some funds in your own reserve to cope with it
