Does Royal Mail Signed for count as a Tracked postal option?

Can I offer Royal Mail Signed For as a tracked postal option? We are all being told expedited shipping is being stopped and we are being moved on to Premium if we qualify.

So far so good but fully tracked is rather expensive for a small item costing less than a fiver. So my question is does proof of delivery count as tracked?

You get a tracking number that is accepted by Amazon if you enter it in to the tracking number box when confirming shipping.

I’ve used signed for Royal mail in the past bought through Amazon because it’s cheaper than tracked RM.

And those that were bought through Amazon have contributed towards tracked postage metrics. I don’t used any type of tracked service so those that have been makred as tracked in metrics could only have come from using signed for postage.

RM is approved but you must use full tracked service.

They say it is, but its not, as we have recently found out with a number of orders. They won’t accept signature by the customer as valid should any ONR claim arise. You might be protected if you bought it through ‘buy shipping’ but customers know they just have to say stuff like ‘damaged’ or ‘not as described’ to get refunds.

So the next thing is… if this is all being done to make it clearer for the customer what will be the difference between Seller Fulfilled Prime and Premium One Day Delivery?

Don’t forget there is also Tracked 24 + Signature service

In the event of a A-Z for non delivery, just RM 24 Signature may not be accepted as proof of delivery.
The way I’m reading it is that Tracked does mean the Tracked 24 or 48 service (not just RM 24 Signature) and you would need to use RM Tracked 24/48 + Signature to win a A-Z
Saying that though up until last month I won a A-Z with just RM 48 large letter 2D barcode but now lost a case on Sunday.

No. Royal Mail signed for is not classified as TRACKED MAIL as customer can only find out when other party accepts it and signs for it. Until then you do not know. When ROYAL MAIL SPECIAL DELIVERY NEXT DAY BY 1 PM OR 9AM OR PARCEL FORCE 24 OR 48 HOUR SERVICE IS FULLY TRACK ABLE AND GUARANTEED TIME FRAME OPTIONS. Track able means you can track your parcel all the way through from Post Office where you post till other party receives it means PARCELS IS IN POST OFFICE BRANCH, COLLECTED AND TAKEN TO WHICH DEPOT AND AGAIN OUT FOR DELIVERY FROM WHICH DEPOT AND OUT FOR DELIVERY TO CUSTOMER AND FINALLY CUSTOMER RECEIVED IT.

Haven’t you got to offer 1 day and 2 day delivery options for Premium. ie Next day guaranteed as one of the options??

Information on tracking in the Royal Mail system is poor anyway.

These “rules” that Amazon sets and constantly amends are a complete pain the arse. Eventually the could prove to be their downfall.
