Amazon is the most unstable and incompetent online platform for Sellers that has ever existed
This site, at this point, is becoming a joke for sellers. I have came to the conclusion that support isn't doing things out of incompetence; they are intentionally not doing this job for their malicious purposes. This platform has become a massive glitchfest and is worst than a 1996 Madden game.
Since last October/November whent he glitch happened that affected featured offer eligibility it has been a nightmare to sell on here. I sold books, DVDs, and CDs. Amazon took the featured offer eligibility away-EVEN FOR FBA ITEMS- despite my account being in great health. They did manual override three times for books in FBA. The problem happened again a month ago and featured offer eligibility has been going on and off daily. I call seller support and they are useless. Several tickets in and showing them that even he algorithms are saying I will be featured offer eligible if I sell at certain prices or match the external price; I do just that and I am still not. I send screenshots to show them and nothing changes.
I'm like ok, I'll sell electronics. I am featured offer eligible and now Amazon took the featured offer eligibility away for all electronics LOL. I mean, at this point, this site is a joke and becoming an unstable scam. Account heatlh at 220-no feedback or AZ claims, chargeback. 97% feedback rating. Obviously, something is wrong with their algorithm but they don't care to fix it. Look at the amount of people who have been complaining in the last year and how many times the internal team has had to do a manual override. A lot of us are wasting our time on here.
Says I have stranded inventory and I do not; this is also negatively affecting my IPI. Seller support is useless as always. Never fails.
Sellers, we have to get off of this platform and create our own platform. This isn't the answer long term.

Losing the buy box (or featured item eligibility) can happen due to just one bad mark on your account (late delivery, late shipment, bad feedback, etc.) It can also happen if your sell thru rate in a certain category falls. I used to have eligibility in books, but I have sold so few this year that it went away. I also get the buy box when I am NOT the lowest price AND priced above their "suggested price or competitor price", so that doesn't carry a ton of weight in their overall formula for the buy box.

This is primarily used by Amazon as the carrot counterpart to their price alert stick. They want sellers competing entirely on price in most if not all categories.

This site is a disaster!, so broken, so many bad detail pages, so much corrupted and taken over detail pages by we all know from what corrupt country AMAZON favors (and still loses market share to native rivals that are even more corrupt)
All long time sellers should contact the AG'S sueing AMAZON with our documentation of price fixing alone not to mention all the times AMAZON has blocked media that competes with its offerings or refused to offer AMAZON exclusive hosting deals as it won't get better here until this monopoly is broken up!
