A copy of the company's most recent share allotment document!

Am I so stupid or is Amazon’s verification very complicated?

Every document they require I seem to have to provide it many many times for it to finally work!

Now they want the following document,

A copy of the company’s most recent share allotment document. This usually takes the form of a Statement of Capital or an Annual Return and will show the number of shares held by each beneficial owner. You can download this document from the UK Companies House website (https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/).

I have supplied all documents available for download on https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/ and non of them worked.

If anybody has any idea where I can get this document from, please let me know.

Thank you.

Hello… I’m not stupid (though don’t know what a “share allotment document” is…!) either but I can’t get through verification and yes, I think it’s ridiculously complicated. It’s much simpler to set up a business abroad than it is to register a seller account. I agree - they keep asking for the same document over and over but there’s always something wrong with it; something different each time. I have honestly never felt so frustrated with a company. Sorry I can’t help you, but I did want you to know it wasn’t just you.

(I’m also beginning to worry that the documents I’ve uploaded so far might not be in safe hands - I mean, I’ve no idea who has access to them - bank details, passport etc).

You should have a share allocation as part of your company documentation.

If you’ve just set up a limited company then it should be already be available as part of the formation of the company.
If your company has been trading longer then your last annual accounts submitted to Companies House should have a section on allocation of shares.

but you could try these depending on your needs

This is UK thing, I think. i have a US corporation. This is the THIRD time they’ve asked for verification. and… we don’t have a share allotment document, but I hope our by laws are good enough.

Companies House should not even be required in this case. You are required, by law, to maintain a register of your company documentation at your registered office. These documents include: Company registration certificate, register of shareholders, register of directors and secretaries, register of share capital, articles and memorandum of association. You should have all of these documents available for public inspection because anybody, and I do mean anybody, can, at any reasonable time, request an inspection of your company documentation. That is why limited companies have “limited” liability. In return, they make company information public.

Your share allotment certificate shows how many shares the company has issued and to whom. Amazon will require this because it shows who actually owns the company. You should check your records for the document they require.
