New FBA Liquidations fees coming: Try for free until September 7
Effective September 8, 2021, Amazon will adjust the fee structure for FBA Liquidations.
For your liquidated inventory, Amazon will apply a per-item processing fee that is based on the item size and weight, and a per-item referral fee. For more information, refer to FBA Liquidations fees.
With our programme, you can easily liquidate overstock or customer-returned inventory, instead of having inventory disposed of or returned to you. Sellers typically recover between 5% to 20% of the item’s average sales price. However, Amazon cannot guarantee a set recovery rate.
We are currently waiving FBA Liquidations fees for any liquidation order that is submitted by 11:59 p.m. (CET) on September 7, 2021.
To get started, go to any inventory planning page and choose Liquidations when you create a removal order. For detailed steps, refer to FBA Liquidations.

This sounds like a REALLY bad deal.
It’s bad enough during the fee period but when the fees kick in… WOW!
A processing fee AND a 15% referal fee, and we only recover between 5% to 20% of the items average sale price. However, we might not even get that because you can’t guarantee a set recovery rate.
Unless there’s absolutely no profit in our item or the long term storage fees have kicked in we’d be better off just slashing the price on our overstocked items.
And as for customer returns, I’d much rather have them sent back since MOST of them have NOTHING wrong with them or are just missing some packaging.
