Countries
Read onlyWe recently received an emailing stating that some of our listings do not provide the country/region of origin and that this needs to be added to prevent the listing being restricted for international sales. This is perfectly fine however, I cant seem to find any information on how to find which listings don't have this info so that I can add it. We have thousands of listings and I have tried generating the report to show missing attributes, but this specific attribute isn't on that report.
The only information given on the email sent out is:
"To provide country of origin information:
1. Go to Manage All Inventory to upload by product; or
2. Go to Add Products via Upload to upload in bulk."
Does anyone know how to find this out or does Amazon expect me to go through every single listing to find which ones dont have the country of origin specified?
Was just about to ask the same question..... Any ideas?
They know precisely which ASINs don't have the country of origin, otherwise why would they say "We’ve identified that some of your product listings don’t have Country of Origin information.".
Is it really that hard for them to provide a spreadsheet with all the affected ASINs?
Sometimes I despair with Amazon and their "mightier than thou" attitude.
I have less than 200 listings so I can manage the issue but what about those with thousands?
The email I got said that I could reply asking for a list of ASINs currently missing this info. I've done so and currently awaiting a reply.
I have upwards of three thousand ASINS. I cannot check each one so is it just a case of waiting for the supressions and then dealing with it as I just don't have the time to do this...they don't make things easy, do they?
Amazon often do stuff like this when they could make it so much simpler if they automatically provided affected ASIN's. Some emails do give the information but many do not.
If I were you I would just download the appropriate template with required column. There are 2 different ones (another bug bear of mine) which are similar but both have different columns although most of the columns are the same.
Anyway, delete everything from the template except the SKU or ASIN column and the Country of Origin column. Get a list of your SKU's, copy it to the template, enter the Country of Origin for each SKU as appropriate then upload. You dont need to figure out which items already have or do not have them. Just do them all anyway. I bet its mostly China anyway nowadays so you can put that in first product and then copy it down for all other products, then adjust those which are not China
You can use a "Category Listing Report" and sort listings by the "country_of_origin" column. You can provide the COO where it is missing and then upload a file to update ASINs in bulk.
Or you can write to them and they will send you a list with ASINs with missing COO.
