Suffocation Wording Text
Hi
I am wondering if the suffocation wording for plastic bags is word specific. I see many different worded types of stickers available online. Our supplier has provided the following:
“WARNING: To avoid danger of suffocation, Keep this bag away from Children and babies. Do not use this bag in Cribs, Beds, Carriage or playpens. This bag is not a Toy”
However having found a PDF from Amazon UK, the wording is stated as:
“WARNING: Plastic bags can be dangerous. To avoid danger of suffocation keep this
bag away from babies and children.”
I have purchased items with slightly different wording, so was wondering will the one supplied
by my supplier be ok?
Thanks

My understanding of that is that it is not a legal requirement, therefore specific wording cannot be an issue
There is no legal requirement for child warning labelling on plastic bags in Europe However, warnings usually a condition of supply for most large retailers so in practice nearly all products sold have such warnings on the bags they are contained in. …
