Customer/competitor buying then asking for refund

I have a customer/competitor that has brought 3 times from me over the last 3 months.

This person/competitor receives the item, holds on to it for 5 -7 days then asks for a refund stating that it was late delivery, even though they get it the next day (FBM).

Is there a way to ban certain repeat offenders from buying from me?

If only there was! The only thing you can do is cancel the order citing problems with address.

Just cancel their orders, and choose ‘due to incorrect delivery address’. Me being me, Id do the same thing back to them, via a friend. For ten times the amount they’re doing you for.

Are they returning the items? What is being affected, order defect rate? Yeah they are trying to sabotage you, honestly doesn’t sound legal. To me, its fraud - they’re intentionally misleading you and not adhering to conventional terms of contract of sale / are acting in bad faith. There would be many judges siding with you if such a thing ever went to court.

I’ve had the same, all four orders returned as defective. They returned one order as refused and still managed to leave negative feedback.

We have had a few of them doing the same but raised A-Z claims. Amazon funded them and had no affect on the seller metrics so they achieved nothing. They ordered cheap items. The motive behind the purchase actually breaches the terms of use. The odd thing they all have one thing in common.

So after speaking with Amazon it’s clear that in my situation I shouldn’t be cancelling anything.

I presented the details to them so at least amazon can see that I’ve lodged a complaint against this prat, but there seems to be nothing I can do about it.

They said that they wouldn’t stop her from buying from me again.

I’m an SEO consultant by profession and have had to deal with all sorts of competitor attacks in various forms. But to have zero comeback on bad actors does leave a bad taste in your mouth, especially when I do everything to meet both amazons and the customer’s standards!
