Packaging Single Items as Bulk
Hi Everyone,
I've recently started FBA and have found a lead on selling a pack of 12 on Amazon. The product itself would have to be bought in singles from a retailer. How would I go about packaging the single items to be sold a pack of 12 on Amazon? Would I need to cover the single barcodes? And also, do I need to separate them into packs of 12 myself or can I just send in singles?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

You would need to send them as complete packs of 12 with the barcodes covered and an FNSKU label on each set of 12. Amazon have guidance for sets here: https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/help/hub/reference/G200141500?
As for buying from a retailer, just know there are risks in doing so such as getting your account suspended should Amazon want proof of a valid supply chain.

If you are listing against an existing ASIN check that the brand matches your product and the barcode is for the brand on the product.
If either of these are not right then there is a chance the listing will get taken down at some point in the future and/or issued with a violation.
Most multi pack listings on Amazon are incorrectly listed. There are exceptions though but you do have to be careful.

12 is a common outer size for many products so approach the manufacturer who can advise, you might find your barcode issue also solved as it may already be there.
Buying from them or their wholesaler also solves any supply chain questions.
If you insist on taking the risk of buying retail why not just ask what size the outer is and if 12 ask to buy one out of the stock room.
