We received this violation almost a month ago and I've done 7-8 rounds of bullet updates following the Style Guide and Detail Page rules, yet the violation is not removed after 24+ hours. I spoke with account health specialists and each time they give a different answer as to what the problem is, which leaves the impression they are just guessing. Inaccurate information can mean so many things and leaves room for subjective interpretation when bullets are reviewed for approval.
Typically, if the violation is not removed within 12 hours of editing the bullets, I'm 100% sure it won't be cleared after 24hrs...but I waited 24hrs anyway, because if you raise the issue to seller support earlier, they'll say "wait 24-48hrs".
At first, I kept seeing the red warning for the violation next to the bullets when editing the listing. It's always the first bullet that's marked in red, like others mentioned in separate threads. You can't submit any changes until you remove by trial and error the "violating" content from the bullets. The best part - it's not always the first bullet, it can be any bullet.
No matter how many changes you submit, the new bullets won't show unless you remove the violating content, even if you have the contributions for your listings. Asking seller support to push through the new bullets may update the detail page, but won't remove the violation. In fact, it can get worse, because if you have several offers for the same ASIN (FBM and FBA), you can get more violations because each violation is per SKU, not just ASIN.
Now there is no warning and errors next to the bullets and the system accepted the new bullets and they're visible on the detail page. The detail page showed the new bullets in less than 12 hours. The system vetted the bullets as compliant, yet the violation is still not removed under Account Health.
I've checked the bullets for all possible violations - character limits for the bullets, no shipping information, no seller or promotional details, no vague statements, no hyphens or exclamations points, no All Caps, no abbreviations, no care instructions, no unsupported claims, etc.
Long story short, the latest "clue" from Amazon on the issue is that bullets include promotional messaging. We don't mention any deals, sales, promos or pricing info.
Does anyone know what "promotional messaging" means?
I'm sharing what I've learned so far about this type of violation in case it helps others. I've spent almost a month on this and still no resolution.
