EPR Germany INVALID

I keep getting the following message from Amazon:

The VAT or business ID and the legal name associated with this registration number do not match the information provided to Amazon.

I have registered with LUCID and Reclay. I have checked all the details on the central portal and cannot see why Amazon are rejecting my EPR number.

I am a sole trader, I am NOT VAT registered but my UTR number matches.

Seller support are no help!

Any suggestions please?

I’m afraid so far there are no suggestions. Not seen a single sole trader, not VAT registered, get validated. Not one and certainly no one has come forward and said how they managed it, if they did.

And as per usual, Amazon just say nothing.

It is so frustrating, Amazon cannot give me an exact reason why they are rejecting.

There is no obligation for me to be VAT registered. My UTR number matches, I’ve spoken to LUCID twice and they do not understand why Amazon will not accept!

Same here. It’s rejected every time with the same message even though all my details are identical. I have just spoken to seller support AGAIN and they said they will get someone from their leadership team to call me within 4 hours. Let’s see if they actually call and what they say. Two weeks of lost sales in Germany so far. Amazon really has the worst customer support in the world…even though they are the richest company!?!

Also sole trader, not VAT registered. Same story as above. I submitted my LUCID number a long time ago and have been going around in circles for months now.

Registering is one, but have you actually made 2022 declaration and paid to Reclay?

Just a thought, but has anyone tried using an EORI number as the business ID rather than a UTR?
The EORI database is searchable https://www.gov.uk/check-eori-number but a UTR is not verifiable on a public database.

(only relevant for self employed non VAT registered sellers)

sadly same thing happens for VAT registered businesses as well.

I was meant to be called by the “leadership team” yesterday but of course they didn’t call. Waiting to see if they call today. I doubt they will help anyway.

There is no “Detailed Seller Information” section on storefronts for Sole Traders who are not VAT registered. That’s down to Amazon and is not our fault. There is only an “About Seller” section. If the EPR team will only use “Detailed Seller Information” section to verify our registrations then they will always refuse it as we simply don’t have that section on our storefronts. The stupidity of Amazon is beyond belief.

The leadership team just called me and of course they were completely useless. I made them look at my account and compare it to the EPR Register of Producers. They confirmed the information on both were identical. They said they would forward my case again to their EPR team. I don’t hold out much hope but at least Amazon’s leadership team have admitted that all my information is identical. Let’s see.
