Amazon telling customers items are to arrive before christmas

Anyone have the same issue as me where amazon are making false promises to buyers?
I have my account set to 1 working day dispatch with a cut off of 10am. I have the automatic delivery dates thingy turned off as well and yet amazon are telling customers even now @ 18:00 monday 18th that items will arrive wednesday/thursday for 2nd class stating they will arrive before xmas.
Royal mails cut off for 2nd class is today so given its now past the time of the post offices shutting its not possible to deliver them in time according to royal mail themselves so yet again i am in a possition of amazon controller my account to give false promises to buyers.

so you can’t set a cut off for 1 working day despatch.
For standard delivery with a default handling of 1 day, any order placed up to 23:59 today would need to be despatched tomorrow. So depending on what your shipping times are, you may still be promising delivery by Friday.
