Can Amazon RE LABEL my inventory?
I am the brand owner for my products and sell only through FBA using Standard Product ID as UPC/EAN codes.
Currently my Product with UPC “A” is assigned to an Attribute “X” and listed on Amazon with active inventory.
I am panning to change the Attribute to “Y” for the same product with UPC “A”.
How can i make these changes to the Amazon Catalog? Also what happens to the FBA inventory once the information is updated by amazon?
Can Amazon Relabel my FBA stock to the new Attributes?
Note: I have multiple child variations to my listing and thus i am assuming a lot of Errors codes 8541.

Sounds to me like you may be getting a lot of returns on the item as being ‘too small’. Manufacturer has them down as a 6 but you want to sell as a 5 to stop so many returns.
The trouble is, if the shoes are marked as a 6 you will get just as many complaints from customers who see the 6 and do not try them on and return for being ‘not as described’
There is no easy solution to this. You really need to get manufacturer to either make them slightly larger or to relabel them as a size 5 before you purchase from them.
As for existing stock in FBA - well you could update description and explain that although these are marked as a 6 they are more suitable to a 5. It wont stop all the returns (most people do not look at the description) but at least you can point this out to Amazon or the customer on any complaints.
In meantime - perhaps increase price slightly to take account of the high returns.

I am facing 2 Key challenges here :

Catalog information update - I want the same UPC to be now called a different size. IN this case, i am assuming amazon wouldn’t change it easily as it will show error 8541 (mismatch of catalog info).
This is my biggest challenge as it is the very first step to this problem. -
FBA labeling - If somehow i succeed in step 1, then i can recall the stock (possibly the worst case) and had to shut down account till hey have removed all stock. After that, i can send shipment again.
I am kind of stuck in this process as Seller support does not have that competency to help me on this. They always come back with standard template answers.
