800*1200mm Euro/CHEP certified DIN 15146 pallets?

Re shipping pallets to the EU, Amazon specifies 800*1200mm Euro/CHEP certified DIN 15146 pallets.

Does this mean EITHER 80*1200mm Euro OR CHEP certified DIN 15146 (I haven’t been able to ascertain what DIN 15146 means, but guessing it might be the size?), or does it mean EXCLUSIVELY CHEP pallets, which are the blue ones I believe?

Thanks.

AFAIK DIN 15146 was superseded by EN 13698-1 some time ago. The generic name is Euro-pallet, or sometimes EPAL-pallet.

Amazon want EUR/EUR1 size sent to their EU centres, and the most obvious requirements for these are:

  • 800 x 1200 x 144mm
  • 4-way entry
  • 9 block skid, bottom deck boards along the width
  • heat treated (meets ISPM 15 as we have left the EU)
  • correctly marked

Useful info about selecting pallets is available from https://associated-pallets.co.uk. (Not affiliated in any way.)

No need for the to be CHEP or any other pool pallets.

Do these need to have EUR or EPAL logos as well?
