How to create manufacturer barcode for new product
I am creating a new listing for a private label product. My brand is now registered and I want to enroll it in transaprency program, however for this you need to have a manufacturer barcode. How can I create this from the EAN codes I have bought from ebay? I have seen a barcode creator website but I don’t know if that will work. I need to get packaging made with this barcode on it so need to confirm before I do so.

There is lots of free barcode generator sites (such as https://barcode.tec-it.com/en/EAN13)
You can always download a free barcode scanner on your phone (from the app store) if you want to be 100% sure the bar code is correct?
Also as said above GS1 barcodes are the way to go - you could encounter issues down the line with cheap eBay ones which could be from anywhere.

You can’t. Amazon only accept EANs bought from GS1

Amazon verify barcodes with GS1, even if they accept a non-GS1 code now there is no guarantee it wont be pulled at a later date (or if the original owner doesn’t pay the annual fee to keep it ‘live’) and then you will lose all your reviews and ranking. Far better to bite the bullet and register with GS1 from the get go.
