Long Term Storage Fee - Massive Increase

Hello all,

I've gone from paying around £25 a month long term storage fees to around £200 which I've been looking into.

I have a query and I'm hoping someone wise would know what this means and what can I do.

I'm attaching a few lines from my spreadsheet where it say I was charged €0.25 for a unit stored in France yet I turned off all other marketplaces in the ASINs product detail page and it says no listing too. I've also notice quite a number of similar charges where I have even deleted the listing as I no longer stock it.

AI tell me it's something to do with 'phantom' inventory and to open a case but there are dozens like this.

img

I urge everyone to check as Lord knows how much they're making on the back of this.

They have possibly found old stock somewhere. I know we have just had a load of stock returned to us which must be 2 or 3 years old.

You also need to look at how long the stock has been in amazons warehouse as the longer its been there the more it costs. You may be better recalling it

Hi there @Seller_AVteysPitiEJq,

I'm sorry you have had difficulties with your storage fee. The best way to review and contest the charges is to provide your information to Seller Support. If you have difficulties please provide your Case ID here and we can investigate and see what escalation options we can offer. Thank you for your understanding.

I've downloaded multiple reports and the fees look correct but it's not fair that I went from paying around £25 per month to over £200 per month. It looks like the long term storage fee for really small items has whacked up in price for us.

First they scrap the Small and Light and now they have done this.

We're pulling items back at a cost of hundreds and FBA is no longer viable anymore...very sad as it's our livelyhood.

Hi there @Seller_AVteysPitiEJq,

I'm sorry you are frustrated with the current Monthly storage fees. While I can provide feedback, if the fees are being applied correctly there isn't additional options I will be able to offer. Please note however we can provide your feedback to our internal leadership. Thank you for your understanding.

Hi @Glenn_Amazon

I am having trouble with two units - one is stuck in POLZ and the other in PRG2. They are not showing in my inventory bu I am veing charged storage fees each month.

I've tried to remove them and I've tried to have them disposed but each time, the order gets cancelled by Amazon.

I've been back and forth with Seller Central and I was told today this is happening because there is a missing VAT ID for DE. Previously it was because they didn't exist there. Anyhow, I can't register for Vat as I don't even sell there nor did I join Pan EU so it looks like these units were shipped overseas without me even having a VAT number and now I'm stuck paying long term storage fees because I'm told I can't do anything at all without it.

I hope you can help - Case number for one of the units is 12203065692...I can't keep spending time on live chat is it's so time consuming and I get nowhere anyway. I am unable to email a response which is disappointing as it's so much easier.

Thanks in advance....Mark
