Verify Establishment for Value Added Tax (VAT) - EU residence
Hello,
Amazon sent me a notice that my company OÜ Planetinweb is not registered in the EU for VAT purposes. But this is not true.
I have provided all the documents that confirm my physical activity on the territory of Estonia, but this is not enough for Amazon. I am required to confirm the EU residence of the founder of the company (that is, my residence), or the residence of my employees.
I have no employees, I, the founder of the company, work myself. At the same time, I am a resident of Ukraine, and I work in Estonia on a visa.
I conduct business from Estonia and pay all taxes. Why does Amazon need me to be a resident of one of the EU countries? How should I deal with this situation?

Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the verification process of your account.
You are correct you do not have to life in the EU to do business on Amazon. However it seems that Amazon would like to verify to confirm the location of your activity.
What I would recommend is to follow the steps in the email regarding 'not established in the EU'.
