Amazon Emails Say Shipping Too High & Violates Pricing Policy (cost is less than USPS) Support says I Should Increase my Shipping Fee Even Higher - Huh?
Support Case 17035364811
I have an expedited shipping option for Handmade items where for a flat $9.95 per order I mail USPS Priority Mail and move the Handmade order to the front of the line so buyers get (1) Faster product making and also (2) faster shipping. There is no additional per item charge.
It's a good deal many buyers have taken advantage of.
The USPS Priority Mail Flat fee during the holidays was $10.40, now down to $10.10 - so the option is less than the USPS cost and I'm also doing the faster production. I had set the $9.95 to match the USPS cost but have not increased it despite USPS increasing its fees.
The problem ...
I've recently been getting Amazon emails saying the $9.95 is too high and violates Amazon's Fair Pricing Policy - even though the cost is less than the USPS standard charge.
The emails also state Amazon is no longer showing the shipping option to buyers.
I contacted support they are (repeatedly) telling me:
- The shipping option is being shown.
- To increase my per order charge and decrease my per item (which is zero).
Huh?
It can't be true that the shipping option is not being shown and is being shown.
It can't be true that the shipping fee is too high and should be increased.
It can't be true that a zero per item charge is too high and needs to be reduced to below zero.
Looking for some sanity from Amazon.
