Adding a New Card. Amazon say it's invalid. It's not!. Can't make any progress now. Help!
Amazon say my new card is invalid. It’s not!!!. Why do Amazon always think they’re right" My card has the same long no., and same a/c no. the only difference being the expiry date. I’ve entered all the details correctly so what’s the problem now. Perhaps a human being at Amazon can help (if there are any)!

You need a clear £5 of credit.
Amazon will attempt a validation by charging your card for a small amount of money, which will never be completed.
If your account is at 0, overdrawn, or for some other reason your bank or issuer will not validate, thats why this happens

Just noticed it is my error after. Simple really, inserted wrong CVC no. Didn’t change it. Dumb Cluck me! Am now brain dead after so many internet queries with non user friendly, company websites and customer queries on postage costs automatically inserted by the companies that buyers pay on , before looking at my warnings, in my public comments box.
Never mind, I’ve got to translate now English into Spanish, as buyer doesn’t write/speak in English apparently! Still, it’s a sale so will get on with it. I’ll update my card now, hopefully for the final time.
