No Safe T reimbursement because we refunded & not Amazon!?

No Safe T reimbursement because we refunded & not Amazon!?

We have denied your reimbursement request for order # **********************************

Why is this happening?
Only refunds issued by Amazon to customers are eligible for reimbursement.
Since you issued a refund to the buyer for this order, you are not eligible for reimbursement.


Surely if you do not refund a customer they will just leave a negative feedback? As they will think we are ignoring them. What is best practise? To send out a email to all returns to contact Amazon to process the refund? Thanks

They changed the rules a while back for SafeT claims.
If you initiate it, then it simply isn’t eligible for a refund.

When did you refund the Buyer?

You were allowed to in May 2020 as they wanted us to do Amazon Customer Services job as they could not employ enough staff

You refunded the money… You chose to do that, regardless of the feedback issue, you took it out of Amazon’s hands. Why would they reimburse you for a choice you made? It’d be like me sending in damaged stock that I know is “distributor damaged” and expecting Amazon to reimburse me for it… Amazon will reimburse for things that are their fault, not for things you willingly choose.
