Global Post tracking numbers not registering as valid, affecting performance rating

Is anyone else having their Global Post tracking numbers showing as invalid after shipping? This is a recent development but now on USPS, the GP tracking number elicits an error page and is also causing my Amazon Valid Tracking Rate to drop. These are all valid numbers but Amazon doesn't have a drop down selection for Global Post. Perhaps their is something in the works to streamline this?

I enter USPS on the order confirmation page with Global Post in the notes. USPS picks up my GP packages (I use Stamps.com) because they have a USPS label on them that ships to GP consolidation who handles the international portion of the delivery. It is quite seamless and tracks excellently both in my Stamps.com system as well as directly on Global Post website for both legs of the trip and both legs are covered under the Global Post tracking number, not the USPS number.

Hi @MysticLink,

Based off your post, it seems as though your Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) is being affected by this issue. How are you obtaining the Global Post tracking number, and have you used these numbers before? If so, did past use of Global Post tracking numbers affect the metric or are you seeing this for the first time?

Amazon has a list of acceptable integrated carriers and if Global Post does not appear on that list, then your VTR will be affected.

If USPS is physically taking your shipments, then you will want to make sure you have them selected as your shipping carrier. You will also want to add the most appropriate option within the shipping service tab when generating the shipping label. At that point, you will then want to utilize the shipping number generated by USPS, and this is the number that will be satisfy VTR requirements.
