Asendia Requesting Payment
Hello all,
I recently sold an item to a buyer in France (I live in the UK) and have gotten an email from noreply@asendia.com asking for 30 Euros for duties and taxes in order for my item to be release my parcel. I am more than happy to pay it however is it usually the part of the buyer or seller to pay this fee. More importantly is this legit and can I trust it.
Thanks in advance

You are required by Amazon to send all goods to the EU “delivery duty paid”, so the buyer does not have extra charges to pay when the goods arrive. Did you not do this?

Seems odd that a demand for VAT and duties is coming from a private company, not the French authorities, so possibly a scam. See this
On the other hand, they do seem to be part of La Poste (France)
