Can we ship 20ft container from China to UK FBA?
We would like to ship a 20ft container direct from our factory in China into FBA, but have so far received conflicting information from Seller Support about whether this is allowed.
Can someone please confirm?
In the help pages, it suggests it’s not allowed but then Seller Support have said it is allowed as long as we have the IOR on file.
Also, our container will hold 604 cartons, so do we create the shipment as 2 Small Parcel deliveries? Since we can only do max 500 cartons per shipment?
Thanks for any advice you can give!

I was wondering the same, I know in the states you are allowed to send in floor loaded containers direct to amazon FC, but I’ve been hearing conflicting info about the issue here. Did you find out any new information since you made the post?

Hi,
Yes, and the answer is no BUT you can create a loose ‘small parcel’ shipment for up to 250 cartons (it was previously 500 but they reduced that number in the past week). But of course you still need to deliver on a truck with a tail lift for SPD, especially with that number of loose cartons.
Alternatively, you can have your shipment palletized in China within a HQ container and ship across that way. Will be cheaper than palletizing when it docks in the UK.
It is crazy that Amazon UK can’t deal with container shipments and that the latest new build warehouses are still not set up to cope with this.
There is another option and that is to send your container with Amazon’s own freight fowarding arm, Amazon Global Logistics. But that’s only accessible via an invitation from the Amazon Business Team and we’ve tried unsuccessfully to get in touch with them.
Good Luck!
