Rejected Seller Bank Verification because of Name Mismatch

Rejected Seller Bank Verification because of Name Mismatch

I received on April 21st an email from Amazon saying "Action required: Verify your Amazon seller bank account information"

The seller account is a registered LLC but in the Bank statement verification it is telling me that it must match the individual listed in the seller account not the company name.

This is impossible, as Bank statements only portray the Business Name on the bank statement and not the individual account holder name.

I submitted the bank statements anyways hoping that they would realize that the Bank Statements match the Company name on the amazon account, but I got an email today saying it was rejected.

Rejection email read:

"We have reviewed the documents that you provided but were unable to complete your verification process. As a result, we are unable to activate your account.

Why is this happening?

The document that you provided as a proof of the bank account ownership is not acceptable for the following reasons:

-- The name of the registered entity that you entered in Seller Central when you registered your account does not match the name of the bank account holder in the bank statement. Update the name on Seller Central to match the name of the bank account holder in the bank statement.

How do I resolve this situation?

Within the next 30 days, please upload a scanned copy or photo of all the required documents listed on the "Identity Verification" page and make sure that the information that you entered in Seller Central matches the information in the documents."

However, I noticed that the VERIFY button is no longer available in the Deposit Methods. So I am confused. Do I need to resubmit? If so, not sure how to get this issue solved as banks will not help in adding individual name.

Also confused about this response in the email:

Now I need to verify the identity too? There is no place to do so in the Seller account.

same issue here, unclear on what to do.

I am a sole proprietor and my account holder name is my business name.

I can't change the legal entity name to my business name because I'm a sole proprietor. It needs to be changed in the tax interview. I haven't been able to use my business name in the tax interview because as a Sole Proprietor I need to register as an individual for tax purposes. I already indicated this in an earlier case which was met with a general answer. My tax returns have my personal name on them, not my business name, even though I do have a business name I use for my business bank account.

I can only select my Point of Contact name on the Bank Account Verification page. What do I do?

We’re aware some sellers are only able to select their Point of Contact name on the Bank Account Verification page. If you don’t see any other options, you can select the Point of Contact name and submit your bank statement as is. If the Bank Account Holder name on your bank statement matches the ‘Legal Entity Name’ listed under Tax Information, we can use this to complete your verification.
