Unsellable FBA inventory case opened by Amazon, but we don't have any?

Amazon has opened 2 cases with the following:

"We are writing to let you know that you have unsellable FBA inventory listed below in Amazon FCs."

The message goes on to talk about removal policy. We have automatic removals set up already.

Besides, for the ASINs listed when I check the inventory none of them have "unfulfillable" inventory. Nor do they have old inventory incurring charges.

All listings are active and selling well. I should note in the subject line the message says 'not compliance related.'

I have no idea why this is happening and they aren't responding to either case; its been days at this point. But the cases are still open.

Is this a new message in error from a bot? Normally those are just emails though and not cases.

Hello @Seller_AmM7mLA6dGYkh,

I'd be happy to jump in here!

It appears the cases being opened are on ASINs with unfulfillable inventory. You can see this in advanced by going to FBA inventory and navigating to the "Remove Unfulfillable Inventory" button.

Products are considered "unfulfillable" when they are damaged, defective, or otherwise unfit for sale or shipment. If damage occurs while products are under our control (damaged by an Amazon partnered carrier, in the fulfillment center, or during delivery to a customer), we take responsibility and will reimburse you for the unit according to the FBA Lost and Damaged Inventory Reimbursement Policy. If the damage occurs while the unit is not under our control, or if it is defective, you can create a removal order for that unit to be returned to you or disposed of at the fulfillment center.

More information on this process can be found here.

Hope this helps!

Thank you,

NR_Amazon
