Item returning from Soain buyer
Hello
I have a buyer who wanted to return the item purchase from UK based store. I purchased return postal label for him using UPS service and mention in the invoice as “Return/Repair” as well. But now UPS kept asking me to provide EORI number or Sender identification number which i do not have nor the buyer helping me to solve this. Any suggestions what should i do? Buyer has been refunded already by the way. Thanks in advance

If you are selling to outside of the UK from the UK store, you need to have an EORI number.
Very simple to apply for one on the uk govt website and usually only take a few days for your number to be issued.
If you are VAT registered, the EORI will be the same as your VAT number with an extra 3 0's at the end
Who Needs an EORI Number?
Businesses or individuals may need an EORI number if they:
Import or export goods between the UK and the EU.
Trade with countries outside the EU, including the USA, China, or other international markets.
Transport goods to Northern Ireland, where special post-Brexit rules apply.
Use customs agents or freight forwarders to handle shipments.
You do not need an EORI number if you only provide services, move goods for personal use, or are based in the Channel Islands moving goods to or from the UK.

When shipping Amazon orders to the EU, you use their EORI number. If you look at the order from the customer, it will be there with instructions on how to do it.

Hey there! This is a tricky one, and it sounds like you're dealing with a cross-border customs situation. Since UPS is requesting an EORI number, it likely means the return shipment is crossing a customs border (for example, if your buyer is located outside the UK). An EORI number is required for any goods moving across customs borders, and since the buyer is the one sending the package, UPS would typically need the sender's (buyer's) EORI or identification details to process the customs declaration.
Since you've already refunded the buyer, here are a couple of practical options: you could contact UPS directly and ask if they can cancel the return label altogether since the refund is already sorted and you may not need the item back. For future reference, you can manage your return settings and addresses in Seller Central here: https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/gp/returns/settings/

Since you have already issued a refund for this order, you can ignore the request to provide an EORI number. You can register for the EORI number if you plan to ship to the EU.
Among all the EU returns, Spain is the hardest due to their various requests from the sender. I have an EORI number, but if a buyer in Spain purchases from my Amazon.co.uk store, it will be their responsibility to return the item.
