Very Small Items Going Missing When Received Into FBA
We send a box every day into fulfilment centres and the discrepancy sent-vs-received absolutely astounds me. The package size of the ASIN is usually very small (credit card size). The average box can contain up to 50 different ASINs.
We are extremely meticulous with packing our items and if it happened just once we would obviously assume we’d encountered some human error, but this is consistent, to the degree of theft or fraud.
Has anyone else experienced this?
We have literally no comeback from this too. My word means absolute jack-shit to anyone I ever manage to speak to.

We have 2-3 go missing from most boxes (usually they have 500-600 items in them though) , probably human error, or they get stuck together, or who knows maybe an amazon staff member does have a birthday that week and pockets it.
Either way we just write it off as a loss - but then my items are fairly low value, its not worth me getting stressed out over £1-2 in a £300 box. I would have a different approach if it was £100 items in a £1000 box
Short of asking for an investigation there is not much you can do. Sometimes they find them on the transfers and the stock fixes itself down the road.
