Has anyone actually received the packing discount?
I have sent 5 separate 'orders' into Amazon, utilising the packing discount offered on the 'Send to Amazon' page.
Each time I have used a partnered Amazon carrier. Each time it has taken me a great deal longer to pack and send in items, spread across the 4 separate boxes at an additional delivery cost to myself each the time.
I sent my first packing discount order in on 28th July 2025, all 4 boxes were checked in and marked as closed on 25th August. The Seller University info and having spoken to an associate on live chat says I should receive the discount within 30 days from closure. It has now been 100 days and I am yet to receive this discount.
The adviser said 'due to busy periods it may take longer' but it has no been x3 longer now, so realistically, am I ever going to receive this 'discount' reimbursement?
To confirm, there was no discrepancies reported with any of the 4 boxes. I have checked my 'savings' tile and the packing discount line is nowhere to be seen.
Has anyone else actually received their packing discount from this initiative?

Hi,
We've been using it for over a year now and do see FBA fee discounts. I responded to a thread last year about it and have copied it for you here -
'We see discounts applied to roughly the level we were expecting even with the inevitable discrepancies when checking in - but as I explain below, it is almost impossible to match it up.
We have been using this since the start of the year. We ended up having to contact managing directors office to get clarity on how the discount is applied. They explained that they just don't charge FBA fees on some orders roughly 30 days after your shipment is completed. If you go to reports repository and download a transaction report for a time period then filter -
- Fulfilled by amazon
- Orders (filter out refunds)
- Filter out FBA fees to only show '0' and you'll see a list of order numbers that haven't been charged FBA fees
In terms of matching it up against what is quoted on the manage workflows page it is almost impossible but it at least gives you a rough idea of how many orders you haven't been charged for so you can calculate a rough amount. MD office informed me that a 'track your savings' tile was being added to seller central in April however that hasn't arrived yet.
We sell a lot of low priced, high volume, small goods so it works well for us. Only you can decide if it is worth it for your particular business.
If you have any more questions then please ask and I can answer the best to my knowledge, wouldn't bother with seller support they just seem to copy and paste the policy document (also seems to be the case for forum mods too).
Hope that helps!'

Would be great if you could help or look into this for me, please!

I've done three of these now, starting in October, and there's nothing in the "Check Incentive Offers" pane, which is where we're supposed to see the savings, I think?
They take considerably longer to prepare and cost more in shipping. I won't be doing any more without proof of savings.

I seen a thread a while back from a seller who had questioned this.
In the end they contacted the MD office who explained to them that to compensate they do not charge fees for FBA upto the credit. You will be able to see in some reports that the fees for some FBA sales are zero by way of a the credit.
I will see if I can find the thread, it was very helpful

I heard that the dev team were supposed to be producing a dashboard to track this, but no update in months.
We do need some hard data to work out how much this is impacting the business!

Hello there everyone,
I'm sorry you have had difficulties tracking your packing discount associated with using the recommended packing for your inbound shipment to FBA. In order to investigate I will need examples of your "track your savings" tool not working as expected. Can you please provide your case ID where this is not working as expected? Thank you for your understanding.

For the record, I still haven't seen any packing discounts applied to my account or these haven't been highlighted in the tile as advised.
Unfortunately I don't have a case ID as the initial discussion with the advisor was via live chat.
For reference, this isn't being tracked on my 'incentives' panel, in the same was that new to FBA savings is.
Seller_i38MVIJDH23AY
You should be able to see some discount being applied to your account if you look at the transaction view information on the payments tab.
You will see that some FBA orders have a zero FBA fee. However there is no way to match this up with individual shipments or any way to reconcile the total.
Seller Support can provide repots that show how much has been 'paid' for each shipment but it is is really hard work getting someone to understand the issue. It takes a lot of replies.
Last time I spoke to the chap that is running the program he had removed the report from the incentives page as there was errors in the report. I believe they are working on it but it has been a long time now.
Seller_y1oOV7IRdwzeB
I actually managed to get through to Seller Support last week - gave them my full list of shipping ID's and amounts expected. They gave a full breakdown of the amounts paid and an order report to equate it to so I could see all the amounts that had been taken off fba fees.
Would be interested to know, we are not getting given the option of recommended packing method on shipments going to the eu (even with all the tweaking of quantities etc). Anyone else having the same problem?
Seller_i38MVIJDH23AY
I am finding the EU orders a problem. The last one was okay but the previous 2. I did all the work and then I got a 'you must remove this item' error.
I could not do anything except start the whole process again. As the stock was already packed I had to send the whole shipment as packed.
So frustrating, lots of extra time and extra shipping costs.
Are you aware that there is currently a cap of 50 ASIN? It doesn't say it anywhere in the instructions.
Seller_y1oOV7IRdwzeB
Yep, I figured the tipping point was 50 ASIN's so generally keep it at 46 or 47. I'm not even getting the option for EU unfortunately (for the last month or so, apart from 1 rogue shipment).
It seems to be so erratic as to whether it will appear, then whether it will actually work. And the extra time involved in packing that way means a huge frustration when it goes wrong.
Seller_i38MVIJDH23AY
The thing I find so frustrating is Seller Support just saying 'recreate the shipment'.
Despite me explaining that this will result in different pack groups they just keep saying it. No acknowledgement that there is an issue. It just demonstrates how totally unfit for purpose they are.
Seller_y1oOV7IRdwzeB
I always wonder how many times errors like these are actually reported back to the teams that can do something about them. Seller Support pretty blanketly can't solve anything, but on things like this where multiple people report the same issue - does it actually get back to the team in charge?
There are other errors with the system that I've reported back to Avask and directly (in person) to Amazon Account Managers and still nothing gets done or reported back to us.
Seller_i38MVIJDH23AY
I know they don't. The guy that runs this program contacted me after I had opened lots of cases on Seller Support. He had been searching rather than them contacting him.
The system stopped working and none of the shipments were offering packing discounts. After numerous attempts I finally got seller support to understand there was an issue. They said they had escalated it.
After a couple of days it was still not fixed. I wrote the the person who had contacted me and he knew nothing about the problem. He fixed it within 30 minutes.
Seller_y1oOV7IRdwzeB
I would have thought there would be at least some sort of system to pass things on from Seller Support - despite their massive inadequacies I thought something somehow would get passed on to the teams involved?! I never fail to be surprised!
Seller_vJhOlYGxWE9Cl
Hi thanks for your input.
I've just gone into transaction view and downloaded a CSV for all transactions since I started sending in with the packing discount and I unfortunately don't have any transactions with the FBA fee zeroed out :(
For reference, I'm filtering by 'Order Payment' and then sorting Largest to Smallest in the 'FBA fee' column and all of those transactions have a minus amount in where they have taken their fees.
Have you ever received a notification to say that they packing fee discount has been reimbursed which made you look into your transaction view?
I struggle to navigate the Amazon transactions so would be grateful for some guidance if you have the time to!
Seller_i38MVIJDH23AY
I have never found a report that I can download. I asked Seller Support but they did not understand what I was asking.
The only place I can see it is when I click through to an order number in the transaction level payments screen. You should find a series of orders where the FBA fee is zero. Then once the credit has been used up the FBA fees start having a number again.
Even if you could find a report to download it would still be very difficult to see what the saving was as it does not show the FBA fee prior to the saving being applied.
Seller_3wd6FdPdrE7ru
Yes I would like to know this also. Asked a number of times and i can not see where the discount is

Got it - thank you. Weird, I don't have that tile but found it through typing 'your incentive programmes' into the search bar. Much appreciated
